Experiment I - Devil's Nail

A spectator secretly places an upright nail beneath one of several identical paper cups while your back is turned. The cups are mixed. In the described effect, you smash your hand onto the empty cups, leaving only the cup concealing the nail untouched. The source states that the method uses no electronics, magnets or assistants.

Experiment II - Witch Hand Master

A small paper ball travels between a spectator's two closed hands while you identify its movements. Before the experiment, the spectator thinks of a two-digit number. When they finally reveal the number and open the paper, that same number is written inside. The source describes the routine as using no switches or fishing.

Experiment III - Triple X-Ray

A spectator shuffles a deck and selects three cards. They mix the cards and conceal them in a back pocket, a front pocket and a closed hand. Without seeing the placement, you reveal both the identity of each card and its exact hidden location.

Experiment IV - Photograph of Fate

The spectator decides the order of three ordinary objects and can change their mind at the last moment. You then remove a photograph from your wallet. It shows the spectator holding those same objects in the exact positions they have just chosen. The source describes the decisions as free and unforced.

Presentation and building a complete act

Between the routines, the book discusses character, conviction, silence, pacing, creating false memories naturally and managing impossible moments. Its second half explores connecting the four demonstrations into a complete theatrical experience that gradually increases the impossibility. The principles are discussed in relation to intimate close-up performances, corporate events and formal mentalism shows.
