The M Box, designed by veteran coin magician Jimmy Fan, is a modern reworking of the classic coin box that genuinely combines the functions of both an Okito Box and a Boston Box. Its unique design allows you to switch between the two configurations – even during performance – while retaining the ability to have the box examined.

Designed specifically for coin magic, the M Box takes a classic concept and expands its versatility while maintaining the handling and feel required for coin box work.

Okito and Boston in one box

A traditional Okito Box has no gimmick built into the main body, while a Boston Box incorporates a recess in the bottom where a coin can be positioned.

The M Box combines these functions through its unique recessed design. It can therefore operate as both an Okito Box and a Boston Box, with the ability to switch between the two states during a routine.

Designed for coin magic

The M Box was created by veteran coin magician Jimmy Fan. Each box is factory pre-fabricated before being individually hand-finished and polished by Jimmy Fan.

It is manufactured from H62 brass, which develops a richer patina through natural oxidation. Decorative lines give the box an elegant appearance, while the weight, dimensions and chamfering are balanced to provide comfortable handling for a variety of coin box techniques.

The spacious interior can accommodate expanded shells.

More variations

The M Box range includes several versions and accessories designed to expand the possibilities for classic coin box magic.

The Slot M Box is the slot version of the M Box. It can function as a Slot Box or, with an appropriate shell inserted at the bottom, as a Slot Boston Box.

The Sokito (Solid) M Box features a solid bottom while retaining the same overall design as the standard M Box. It allows you to create the effect of a coin box apparently containing four coins transforming into a solid brass block. A coin shell can be inserted on either side.

The Mini M Box is a smaller version designed to hold 3-4 small coins such as American Dimes or British Five Pence. It is suitable for miniature coin box routines or shrinking coin box sequences.

M Box Luxury Set

The M Box Luxury Set includes the M Box, Slot M Box, Sokito (Solid) M Box and Mini M Box.

All four are housed in a solid storage and display box made from pure walnut wood.

The M Box, Slot M Box and Sokito (Solid) M Box can also be purchased separately in both Half Dollar and Morgan Dollar sizes. The Mini M Box is available in one size and accommodates 3-4 smaller coins.

Instructions

The tutorial includes multiple routines and applications from Jimmy Fan and Jay Wang.

Important information

The M Box does not include an expanded shell, which is required when using it as a Boston Box. You will therefore need to provide your own appropriate expanded shell. The M Box is not compatible with a milled shell such as the one used with Dean's Set.

The solid walnut storage box is included only with the M Box Luxury Set and is not supplied with the individual versions.
