Color Switch by Marco Markiewicz is a direct and highly visual colour-changing effect using two ordinary playing cards. A red card and a blue card apparently switch places in an instant – while one of them is held in the spectator's closed hand.

The Effect

You remove two playing cards folded in half – one red and one blue – from your wallet, pocket or directly from your card case. Both cards are placed into the spectator's hand, and they are asked to hold them tightly.

You then take back one of the cards, for example the blue card, and simply pass it underneath their hand. In a fraction of a second, the colours have switched: the card you are holding is now red, while the spectator opens their hand to discover the blue card.

Completely Examinable

Immediately after the colour change, both cards can be openly shown as ordinary playing cards and handed out for examination. There is no subsequent switch of the cards.
