David Stone's Words - English version

David Stone's Words is a book test using word-search magazines instead of a novel or dictionary. Originally created in 2012 by Yoan Tanuji and Stéphane Guekko and popularized by David Stone, the concept returns with a new video tutorial. This product is the English version.

Reveal a thought-of word

Hand a word-search magazine to your spectator. They open it to any page, look at the grid and freely think of one of the words they see. Nothing is said aloud. After a few seconds of concentration, you reveal the exact word they are thinking of.

Repeat the experiment with different pages, grids and words to develop a sequence of revelations.

From a single letter to an entire grid

Take the effect further by revealing the letter located immediately after the chosen word in the grid. For the finale, the spectator selects one of 100 different word-search grids. You pick up a pen and rapidly reproduce the entire selected grid in front of the audience.

A quick revelation or a multi-phase routine

The same prop offers several mind-reading possibilities, allowing you to perform a brief revelation or build a complete multi-phase routine. The familiar word-search format provides an alternative presentation to traditional book tests.

What you receive

  • 2 specially designed 100-page word-search magazines created exclusively for David Stone's Words.
  • A new, in-depth video tutorial featuring Yoan Tanuji and Guillaume Bienné, covering the routines, techniques, subtleties and key details behind the effect.

The magazines in this version use English words.
