Design

New Year Playing Cards by Smooth Writing celebrates the Chinese Spring Festival with hand-drawn artwork. Across the card values, strings of firecrackers gradually give way to smoke and scattered red paper. Court cards hold festive couplets, while the God of Wealth brings red envelopes.

Interactive tuck box

The door-inspired box has magnetic components. Removable couplets can be repositioned, and a magnetic Fu character can be displayed upright or upside down. Embossing adds texture to the tuck box.

Cards and finish

The cards use black-core paper with a linen finish. The festival theme extends from the illustrations to the interactive packaging.
