The effect

Dye Tube by Vernet is a utility gimmick for changing the colour of a silk handkerchief. You begin by showing your hands empty and taking a silk from your pocket.

Visual colour change

Push the silk into the top of your closed hand and draw it out from the bottom. As it emerges, the audience sees it changing colour. Once the silk has passed through your hand, it is shown in a completely different colour. The routine can also be arranged to change it back to its original colour.

Size and use

Designed for a 14 × 14-inch silk, the gimmick is made to Vernet's quality standard and is suitable for close-up and parlour magic.
