The effect

Animal Mistake by Luis Zavaleta and Professor Otto is a children's-show routine built around an apparently wrong animal prediction. A child chooses an elephant from a small colouring book, but your prediction envelope contains a rabbit.

Changing animals and finale

As you unfold the paper, it grows larger and the picture changes from a rabbit to a small dog, a dachshund, a seal, a chicken and finally a stork. Each change gives the children another chance to point out your mistake. The final unfolding reveals that the stork is carrying a little elephant.

Contents and instruction

You receive a pre-folded animal prediction approximately 57 x 39 cm, printed on quality paper and protected with plastic on both sides. A special animal-themed Svengali colouring book lets you force the elephant. Online video instruction is included.

Presentation

The routine combines repeated apparent mistakes, audience participation and a large visual ending. It is based on Dick Stoner's Grave Mistake and is designed for children's magic and clowning.
