Stone Cold Mental 4 by Jeff Stone

The fourth volume in Jeff Stone's five-book mentalism series contains 10 routines involving locks, ciphers, monsters, fate and bizarre magic. The material was developed over 15 years and is described as previously unpublished.

Locks, words and mind reading

In Financial Security, four participants freely choose keys. The key that opens a box leads to prizes and a note naming the correct participant. The routine uses no stooges, forces, gimmicked keys or locks, or nail writing. In Key to Your Deck, a participant unlocks a deck, names a card and finds their name on its back. G.M. Hanna reveals a freely thought-of hangman word one letter at a time. Psilver Pscreen Psychic identifies a film thought of from an ungimmicked list of 100 movies.

Monsters, choices and bizarre stories

Monster Repellent reveals a thought-of monster by producing the thing that can kill it. In Monster Detective, you identify three participants' chosen monsters and weapons without fishing, questions or stooges; more family-friendly presentations are also discussed. BE FREE explores tarot and fate. The Nth Choice leads to your business card through a free envelope choice without switches or double envelopes. Velvet Viper is a murder-themed identity story with an alternative involving no death. A Brush with Death ends a consideration of the participant's time of death with an unexpected twist.

Bonus material and web apps

The book includes three bonus ideas, a six-page index and 16 QR codes linking to footage, a hidden website and behind-the-scenes content. Access to two custom web apps is included: an expanding anagram generator and a tool for customizing a classic mentalism effect.
